Terms of use

These terms govern your use of STX.NYC, including collections, local promotions, season records, perks, and shop tools. STX.NYC is part of STX.AI. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Questions about these terms can be sent to steve@stx.ai.

Member features use STX+ sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity carried out through it. Do not impersonate someone else, use another person’s access details, or provide information you are not entitled to share.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms or have the permission of a parent or guardian where required. Individual shops, events, or promotions may have additional eligibility requirements. Access to a private promotion is not a promise of ongoing admission or availability.

STX+ account creation and sign-in are governed separately by STX+’s terms. Creating an account does not guarantee access to every STX.NYC promotion.

A valid participating code can let you claim a piece, subject to the promotion’s displayed rules, expiry, shop status, and availability. A code may be single-use. Scanning a code does not guarantee a particular piece, tier, or perk.

Collections, streaks, points, and season records reflect activity recorded by the service. Shop-specific rules determine how activity counts. Seasons can reset current progress while preserving a season record; a new season does not promise that past progress or perks carry forward.

Test codes and rehearsal seasons are for demonstrations. Their activity is marked as test, excluded from real owner totals and rankings, and may be cleared. Test activity does not create a right to a real perk.

Perks are benefits supplied by the participating shop, not cash. Each shop sets the contents, eligibility, availability, redemption location, and expiry of its offers. Check the displayed offer before taking part. A valid ticket must be confirmed through the shop’s redemption process, and a redeemed ticket cannot be used again.

Points are used for the service’s participation and perk features. STX.NYC does not promise a cash value, payout, or conversion rate. Collecting pieces or points does not give ownership of a shop or a right to future benefits.

Shops are responsible for their products, fulfillment, food safety, and service. Contact the shop about an order or food issue; contact STX.NYC about a code, account, or recorded redemption issue. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

• Do not copy, manufacture, guess, resell without authorization, or automate the use of claim codes or perk tickets.
• Do not use duplicate accounts, false visits, or repeated redemption attempts to obtain benefits that the rules do not allow.
• Do not interfere with the site, bypass access controls, scrape private information, or try to access another person’s account or shop tools.
• Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or infringing names, messages, or content.
• Do not share staff PINs, owner access keys, or private-promotion access granted to your account.

We may investigate suspicious activity and restrict access, reverse improperly recorded activity, or invalidate claims and tickets obtained through misuse. Contact us if you believe a restriction or correction is mistaken.

You keep any rights you have in names, messages, and other content you submit. You give STX.NYC permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the features you use. Only submit content you have the right to use.

A promotion board, gift, or shared season record may display your handle and associated record. Choose a handle suitable for that audience. A person who receives a share link may copy or redistribute what it shows.

STX.NYC’s branding, design, and software, and the shops’ branding and artwork, remain the property of their respective owners. Using the service does not grant permission to republish them commercially or imply a partnership.

Use shop tools only if you are authorized by that shop. Keep access details confidential and use customer information only for legitimate shop operations consistent with applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

The repeat-visit advisor sends your submitted goals and summarized shop metrics to an AI service to generate suggestions. Do not enter sensitive personal data or customer contact lists. Suggestions can be inaccurate or incomplete; review them before acting. They are not legal, financial, or professional advice and do not guarantee increased repeat visits or revenue.

Owner reports depend on recorded activity and may not represent all orders or visits. Separate commercial agreements, if any, govern paid merchant services; these terms do not invent a subscription, fee, or service-level commitment.

STX+, STX.RSVP, participating shops, and other linked services have their own terms and policies. A link does not mean every service is connected to your STX.NYC account or that STX.NYC is responsible for that service’s content, availability, or transactions.

Any purchase you make from a shop is subject to that shop’s purchase and refund terms. These terms do not create a separate purchase or payment arrangement.

Features and promotions may be added, changed, paused, or ended. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, network problems, provider outages, or security checks. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, an error-free collection, or a particular commercial result.

We may correct recording errors and update promotion rules prospectively. Any changes remain subject to applicable law and to the terms of an offer already accepted. If you believe a claim, streak, or redemption was recorded incorrectly, contact us with the relevant handle, shop, and approximate time. Do not send passwords or access keys.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without additional warranties beyond those required by law. STX.NYC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service where the law permits that exclusion.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable rights relating to fraud, personal injury, or statutory consumer protections. No provision requires you to waive a right that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a waiver of class-action rights. For a dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it; that does not prevent you from using any legal remedy available to you.

You can stop using STX.NYC and sign out at any time. Signing out does not automatically delete historical records; see the Privacy Policy for information requests.

We may update these terms. The date above identifies the latest revision, and material changes will be communicated where required. Revised terms apply prospectively, subject to applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
